The F2A Amphibious PMR Wheelchair is a three-wheeled buggy designed to keep the user reclined in an ergonomic seat. The chair has three seating positions: One entry/exit position, Two reclined positions for comfort or flotation. Adjustment is easily done using a chain located at the rear of the backrest.

Lors du lancement du F2A Fauteuil PMR Amphibie® sur le marché américain, notre partenaire a été informé que le produit pouvait nécessiter une autorisation préalable de la Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Par précaution, les ventes du fauteuil ont été temporairement suspendues aux États-Unis, le temps de clarifier la situation réglementaire.

En parallèle de l’enquête en cours, notre partenaire a volontairement soumis le F2A Fauteuil PMR Amphibie® à une série de tests rigoureux dans un laboratoire indépendant aux États-Unis. Le fauteuil a réussi avec succès les tests dimensionnels, de performance, statiques, d’impact et de fatigue, conformément à la norme internationale RESNA WC-1:2009 pour les dispositifs de mobilité.

Le responsable du département d'évaluation des dispositifs de la FDA, au sein du Centre des dispositifs et de la santé radiologique (CDRH), a confirmé officiellement que la vente et la commercialisation du F2A Fauteuil PMR Amphibie® aux États-Unis ne nécessitaient pas d’enregistrement préalable auprès de la FDA.
