Regulatory Compliance – FDA and Safety Standards

When the F2A Amphibie® PMR Wheelchair was launched in the US, our partner was informed that the product may require prior approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) . As a precaution, sales of the chair have been temporarily suspended in the US while the regulatory situation is clarified.
- October 2014
In parallel with the ongoing investigation, our partner has voluntarily subjected the F2A Fauteuil PMR Amphibie® to a series of rigorous tests in an independent laboratory in the United States .
The chair successfully passed dimensional, performance, static, impact and fatigue tests in accordance with the RESNA WC-1:2009 international standard for mobility devices.

The head of the FDA's Device Evaluation Division , within the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) , has officially confirmed that the sale and marketing of the F2A Amphibie® PMR Chair in the United States does not require prior registration with the FDA.
